At Avalon Public School, we offer a variety of programs in the classroom and across the school to help students build new skills, make friends and explore new interests.

Our extra-curricular highlights
Debating
Students can develop their thinking, communication and teamwork skills through debating and public speaking. They also have the chance to compete in inter-school events.
Robotics
Our Robotics and Coding Clubs empower students to develop critical thinking, creativity and problem-solving skills through hands-on technology projects.
Band
Participation in the Band program is a rewarding journey of creative expression; fostering commitment and responsibility, building confidence in accomplishing a new skill and also just lots of fun!
Strings
Avalon Strings Ensemble welcomes Kindergarten to Year 6 students to learn violins, violas, cellos, double bass, acoustic guitar, ukulele, harp, piano, percussion and vocals. Students develop musical excellence and perform at many events, including the Sydney Opera House as part of the annual Combined Schools Instrumental String Music Festival.
